Most of the files that you see of the form .001, .002 are split using HJsplit. To join them you just need to use HJsplit. You can download it from here:
You do not have to install HJSplit. Just extract ‘hjsplit.zip’ which you would download and double click on HJSplit.exe to start HJSplit. After that, the main window of HJSplit will appear.
STEP 1:
To join the files, click on ‘Join’:
STEP 2:
A new window will appear , click on the “Input File” button:
STEP 3:
A new window will appear, browser and select the first file of the files which you’ll like to join ( it automatically shows only the first file, i.e, .001 file). So, fired.avi.001 is the first file in this case. Click it and then click “Open” button:
STEP 4:
Click on ‘Start’:
STEP 5:
Now HJSplit will join the file in few seconds. After finishing, you will see this message:
The files have been successfully joined! The joined output file is stored in the default location, which would be same as the location of your input .001 file.
Note:
You have to use the same name for the files in order to join them successfully . If the name isn’t same. Just rename the files to the same name.
Example:
urgrove.mkv.001
urgrove.mkv.002
urgrove.mkv.003
